Intro - Jane L.
1) Your Name - Jane
2) Your children's ages and names (if you feel comfortable) - Kyle 12 Jade 8
3) How many years you have homeschool - this is our 5th year
4) What you love about homeschooling - Having the freedom to teach my children my values, knowing what they are learning first hand, learning right along with them, also freedom to take vacations when we want.
5) What you hate about homeschooling - there aren't enough hours in a day to get everything that I want to done.
6) Do you have a business or interest you delve in on the side? - I am a homemaker full time....that's enough. In my free time (ha), I like to draw & paint, and work in my yard.
7) Your pet's name or most interesting animal you have ever owned? - at present we have 4 cats; Wiggles, Cookie, Krystle, & Smokey. We also have 2 gold fish in a 15 gal. tank, and 10 Cichlid (fish) in a 55 gal. tank.
8) Your favorite color - red, although I like yellows & some greens

9) How would you describe your homeschool style? - definitely traditional
10) Schedules - thumbs up or thumbs down?  - thumbs up. We use a schedule, although it isn't as ridged as some may have. Everyone gets too stressed out if we can't be somewhat flexable.

Intro - Jeanne L.
1) Your Name: Jeanne
2) Your children's ages and names: Lacey 22yrs, Tyler 9yrs
3) How many years you have homeschooled: starting our 4th
4) What you love about homeschooling: Raising the WHOLE child the way God
intended and being a family 24/7! Creating an environment that is safe for my
child to grow and learn what God wants for his life!!
5) What you hate about homeschooling: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!
6) Do you have a business or interest you delve in on the side? I have done several things along the way... but having a husband with brain tumors for 6&1/2yrs was my full time job until he passed away 9mos ago...
7) Your pet's name or most interesting animal you have ever owned? We have
two dogs, a Miniature long-hair Dachshund- Snuggles & a 1/2 poodle, 1/2 sheltie mix- Quigley
8) Your favorite color: PURPLE!!!!!
9) How would you describe your homeschool style? Basically traditional and that works well for us, we substitute what doesn't work!
10) Schedules - thumbs up or thumbs down? Basically thumbs up, but having a patient in the family for such a long time caused us to learn to do things very effectively and efficiently since all of Tyler's school years were during my husband's illness and death, so we don't necessarily have to post a schedule on the wall, we just know when we have to do things and do them! Grief has wreaked havoc with that temporarily, yet we are on the comeback I think! I pray so!!

Intro - Angie L.
1) My name is Angie
2) My children are Andrew, 10 and Aimee Kay, 7
3) I have homeschooled 4 1/2 years now.
4) I love getting into a subject and really digging into. I love to watch the wheels turn in my kids head when they are really learning and are mesmerized by the process. I love the fact that four year olds can know about Ancient Civilizations and not have to wait until sixth grade until they study it. I love to go to a museum or McDonald's and not a soul be there because they are all back in school. I love to hear my children talk about homeschooling their children and the love I see in their eyes for babies and
toddlers. I love the fact that my six-year-old girl will plop herself down in a pile of boys at the lake and organize them into building a massive sand castle. (Other girls joined later) I love to watch my son go down the aisle of McKay's bookstore and be overjoyed when he finds the Mark Twain section. I love homeschool as lifestyle. But most of all, what I love about homeschooling, is when my children, unaware of anyone around, will look at another child and say "Do you have Jesus in your heart?"
5) I hate the "what if" syndrome. I hate walking away from a group of other homeschoolers or conference or book fair and wonder "what if I'm not doing enough", "What if I am using the wrong curriculum (or no curriculum at all)", or "what if my child doesn't learn his multiplication tables before he goes to college." I think the "what if" syndrome is like a virus. It can infect us at any time and is very hard to recover from.
6) I am the owner of the Enrichment School. Best way to describe it is that I have a school for homeschoolers. We have a variety of classes that we offer and "on the side," I am leader of Collegedale Area Homeschoolers. :)
7) The most interesting animal I own right now are two dwarf hamsters (about the size of a 50 cent piece when they sit up) named Tiny and Simon.
8) My favorite color is terra-cotta
9) A mix of Classical Literature and Unit Studies
10) I've decided that I have the same feelings about schedules that I do about gardening. I love the idea but it's a whole lotta work.
